June 13, 2026: The South Shore Shunpike

Come and enjoy a day of visiting beautiful Blue Rocks and Stonehurst on Nova Scotia’s South Shore! Vanessa is excited to be one of the artists featured in this year’s event. You can find her and her notecards, original prints, and chapbooks at the St Barnabas church hall in Blue Rocks, and you can visit other artist’s tables and open studios nearby.

The Wild Talk chapbook is ready for summer!

Vanessa & Katherine are excited at all the enthusiasm and interest and have undertaken another printing — same content inside but with a summery cover. They are available at Blockshop Books, Jenny Jib, LaHave River Books, Good Dog Books, Atlantic News, The Book Shed, Tulipwood, and of course by contacting Vanessa directly.

The Wild Talk chapbook is here!

Wild Talk launched at Vanessa’s printmaking exhibition in December 2025, along with a showing of the original prints, and has been so popular that a second printing has been run!

You can look for books locally at Blockshop Books, The Book Shed, Atlantic News, Tulipwood, and Good Dog Books, or contact Vanessa directly.

Torn Edges: A Celebration of the Printmaker’s Art Exhibition & Sale

Vanessa was one of fourteen artists of the Mahone Bay Printmakers featured in an exhibition and sale in December 2025 at the Lunenburg Art Gallery. The exhibition showcased the many different types of printmaking that are happening on Nova Scotia’s South Shore: linocut, etching, mezzotint, drypoint, monotype, gyotaku, and polymer photogravure. Visitors were impressed with the diverse works and happy to meet the printmakers and learn more about the various types of printmaking.

Jampolis Cottage Residency — September 2025

Vanessa is grateful to have been one of two artists chosen by the Writer’s Federation of Nova Scotia for the inaugural postcard micro-residency at their beautiful Jampolis Cottage on the Bay of Fundy. She created two new linocuts inspired by the place which the Writer’s Federation has made into postcards & notecards.

You can learn more about the Writer’s Federation and/or purchase notecards here:

She was able to create two new big works — both 2 feet by 2 feet — as well as some smaller pieces. You can learn more about the residency and the amazing folks behind it here:
