Booktoberfest 2023 book fair — hope to see you there!

This annual public reading and book fair features Nova Scotian authors who have released literary titles over the previous year. Vanessa will be there with her chapbook the Middle of the meadow and her notecards! (The event was originally scheduled for Dec 11 but rescheduled to Dec 21 due to the wind and rain!)

When: Thursday, December 21, 7pm to 9pm

Where: Paul O’Regan Hall, Halifax Central Library

What: Free event with readings and time for mingling, browsing and shopping

A lovely little chapbook is here!

At the start of 2023, Vanessa was part of Lunenburg’s Little Book Collective — a group of 12 writers who supported each other as they each worked on their own chapbooks. Vanessa’s chapbook, The middle of the meadow, combines her writing along with her printmaking and is now available for purchase!

Artists for Ukraine

In March 2022 Vanessa’s linocut Sunflowers was offered to Artists for Ukraine — an art sale for the people of Ukraine. $7500 was raised by this collective and was donated to the Red Cross to support the needs of people who have been affected by the conflict.
